Displaying the Price per Unit of Measurement
In addition to the sales price of a product, the seller must also indicate the price per unit of measurement, such as per kilogram, litre, metre, or square metre. This price must be indicated unambiguously, clearly and legibly in the immediate vicinity of the sales price.
However, displaying the price per unit of measurement is not required for certain food products. This includes:
- food products typically sold by the piece
- pre-packaged goods that spoil quickly and for which a discount is offered.
