Deadlines and Penalties for Settlement of Claims

As a general rule, if an insurer disputes whether a claim is covered by the insurance contract, they must provide a reasoned response within 3 months. If they fail to do so, you are entitled to compensation.

In principle, if there is no dispute, the insurer will pay you within 30 days. Alternatively, the insurer will make a compensation proposal within 3 months, depending on the type of insurance. The accepted compensation proposal must then be paid within 30 business days.
