Unsolicited Advertising by Post
If you do not wish to receive advertising messages from certain companies, you have the right to contact them directly and request to be removed from their mailing list. Companies are legally required to comply with such a request.
Another option is to sign up for free to the Robinson list. It is a registry containing data on individuals who no longer wish to receive targeted advertising by mail. Signing up to the Robinson list can be done via the website or by sending a letter to the Belgian Association of Marketing (non-profit association BAM) at the following address:
Belgian Association of Marketing (non-profit association BAM)
Rue de la Fusée 50
B-1130 Brussels
Note that companies are not legally required to consult or use the Robinson list. You may therefore continue to receive unwanted advertising in the mail, even if you are on the list.
