Receiving an Unsolicited Package (Free Sample, Hidden Subscription)

A seller may not provide goods or services, or encourage you to purchase them, without your explicit request. If you receive an unsolicited good or service, you are under no obligation to pay for it or return it. Not replying does not mean you agree to the purchase.

Did you agree to an offer to receive something, such as a sample package, but later receive additional unsolicited shipments? Then, you are only obligated to pay if it was clearly stated in the offer that you would receive these shipments and be required to pay for them.

It is not sufficient for that information to appear only in the general terms and conditions. The information should also be clearly included with the offer. In that case, the follow-up shipments are not included in the original agreement, and you are not obliged to pay for them.

You also have the right to have payments cancelled and to request a refund. If you paid by credit card, please contact macarte.be. If you paid by debit card, or by direct debit, it is best to contact your bank.
